An exciting day in the quarry

An exciting day in the quarry

As in previous years, the local CSU association in oerlenbach organized a vacation program again this year. On the first friday of the vacations, six children and four supervisors met in the morning at the parking lot in front of the gate of the federal police station to start the trip to oberleichtersbach to the company rhonschotter. Here the young participants, after being equipped with safety helmets and warning vests, were given a guided tour of the site by nils seidl, a member of the local association of oerlenbach and an employee of the rhonschotter company. The four girls and two boys were amazed by the rough machines. At lunchtime, sausages and steaks were already roasting on the grill, and a snack was highly welcome after the tour and the experience. The break ended with an ice cream and a baseball cap for everyone. The children were allowed to ride on a rough wheel loader and a dumper truck. The employees of the rhonschotter company had also come up with something very special: there were "treasure chests" in a pile of gravel hidden with sub-circuits, which the children were allowed to search for themselves with a real mini-excavator under supervision. When everyone had dug up their boxes, each child received a certificate as a "jungbaggerfuhrer". Finally, under the supervision of nils seidl, a few more laps were made with the rough wheel loader before we went back to oerlenbach. At the parking lot the little ones were received by their parents again. For the children it was an exciting day, dusty but happy they went home
