Deanery: holy evening must remain free of sales!

Holy evening falls on a sunday this year. In some places this has led to the consideration of having an open sunday on this date. Inspired by these discussions, the deanery committee in kulmbach has also addressed the issue and is now demanding in a resulting press release: christmas eve must remain sales-free!
The evangelical deanery committee of kulmbach discussed intensively at its last meeting the opening of grocery stores on saint’s eve, which this year falls on a sunday. He asks with overwhelming majority all responsible persons in the kulmbach business world not to forget the interests of the families when deciding this year about the opening of the shops on holy evening. "Employees also have families to spend christmas with. They must also be able to prepare for the holiday with sufficient peace and reflection", according to the evangelical dean thomas kretschmar. The deanery committee appeals to all business people to keep food stores closed, even if the law allows them to be open for three hours. He points out that in other years there are also three holidays with closed shops, without "hunger notes" comes. After all, this was known in time, and one could adjust his buying behavior to it.
The kulmbach deanery committee, together with the dean, leads the evangelical deanery of kulmbach, which includes 25 church congregations and about 30,000 evangelical believers in the central and northern district of kulmbach. The deanery committee is made up of 20 representatives from the parishes, six of whom are pastors.
